Removal

  1. Remove the front fascia assembly (refer to procedure).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the HomeLink transmitter module.

  3. Gently pry the LH tab away from the HomeLink transmitter module to release it from the bracket. Release the HomeLink transmitter module from the bracket by sliding it to the LH side of the vehicle.

  4. Remove the HomeLink transmitter module from the vehicle.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Note: When installing or replacing the HomeLink module in European-configured vehicles, it is necessary to encode the module with the appropriate country code.
  1. Configure HomeLink:
    1. Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle.
    2. Select Views > Vehicle Configuration > HomeLink Program.
    3. In the HomeLink Program panel, select the appropriate country code from the dropdown menu. Note: If the appropriate country is not available in the dropdown menu, click the Question Mark icon to see a list of equivalent options.
    4. Click the Start/Play button.
  2. After encoding the module, it is necessary to park the vehicle near the relevant door or gate and program the HomeLink module. Refer to the Owner's Manual for instructions.

Note: If the HomeLink module is replaced at the Service Center, instruct the customer to refer to the Owner's Manual for programming instructions.
