Tesla Model X: Door Glass - LH - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Remove the rear door outer belt seal (refer to procedure).
2. Remove the rear door inner belt seal (refer to procedure).
3. Raise the rear window until it is approximately halfway closed.
4. Remove the closeout panel (refer to procedure).
5. Loosen the nut that secures the front of the window to the regulator (torque 9 Nm).

   Note: Do not remove the nut.

    

6. Use a screwdriver to carefully push in the tab on the regulator to release the rear portion of the window.

    

    

7. Working from outside the vehicle, pull the front of the window towards the rear of the vehicle and then lift the window out from the door.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

1. Listen for an audible click when installing the window into the clips on the regulator.
2. Adjust the rear window if necessary (refer to procedure).
