Tesla Model X: Hood Assembly (Remove and Install)

Removal

1. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons (refer to procedure).
2. Use tape to mark the position of the hood fasteners.

3. While supporting the weight of the hood, remove the nuts (x4) that secure the hood to the hood hinge (torque 24 Nm).

4. Remove the hood from the vehicle.

Caution: Place the hood on a soft, flat surface.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Note: Clean the affected areas before installation. Check the alignment of the hood to the body and adjust as necessary.
