Remove

Open the front door.
Remove the countersunk screws (x2) that secure the striker plate to the B-pillar (torque 22 Nm).
Note: Note the installed position of the components before removal.
Remove the door striker from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Check and adjust the door to the body as required.

Note: Perform both the De-Calibration and Calibration sections of this procedure. De-Calibration Open the door that has the affected window. Fully raise the window. Use a pen or screwdriver shaft to manually latch the door while it is open.

Pinch Sensor (1st row) - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove Remove the front door closeout panel (refer to procedure). Use a plastic trim tool to remove the push clips (x6) that secure the pinch sensor to the door.Caution: Care must be taken to avoid damage to paintwork and exterior trim.
