Tesla Model X: Valve Block - Air Suspension (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Position the vehicle on a lift, but do not raise the vehicle at this time.
  2. Support the vehicle, but do not raise it at this time.
  3. Use the Toolbox "Air Suspension Fill/Deflate" panel to depressurize the system.
  4. Remove the RH front wheel (refer to procedure).
  5. Remove the nut (torque 6 Nm) and clips (x7) that secure the front of the RH front arch liner. Fold the arch liner back to access the front of the wheelwell.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the air suspension compressor.

  7. Release the wire retaining clip from the bracket.

  8. Release the nut that secures the line from the air suspension reservoir (torque 3.5 Nm).

  9. Release the nuts that secure the lines from the 4 air springs (torque 2 Nm).

  10. Disconnect the air hose from the compressor.
  11. Release the nuts that secure the bracket to the body (torque 5 Nm), then remove the compressor, valve block, and bracket from the vehicle as an assembly.

  12. Release the nut that secures the boost line to the valve block (torque 2 Nm).

  13. Release the nut that secures compressor line to the valve block (torque 3.5 Nm).

  14. Release the 3 fasteners that secure the bracket to the compressor (torque 5 Nm).

  15. Release the 2 fasteners that secure the valve block to the bracket (torque 5 Nm).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
