Special tool(s) required for this procedure:

1052583-00-A	Seal Puller Note: Technicians may use this tool or equivalent.

Removal

Remove the jackshaft assembly (refer to procedure).
Use the seal puller to remove the oil seal from the differential casing.
Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Note: Clean the affected areas before installation.

Use the output seal installation tool to install the oil seal in the differential casing. Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
Ensure that the seal is seated correctly in the differential casing.
