Tesla Model X 2015-2024 Service Manual / Closures / Latch - Door - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

Remove the LH front door closeout panel (refer to procedure).
Release the manual release cable from the front door interor release handle.
Release the screws (x3) that secure the door latch to the door (torque 10 Nm).
Maneuver the latch through the opening in the door shell and disconnect the electrical connector.
Remove the latch from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

Removal Remove the sun visor bezel (refer to procedure). Remove the screw that secures the A-pillar trim to the B-pillar trim (torque X Nm). Remove the screws (x3) that secure the trim panel (torque 5 Nm).

Footrest - Driver's (Remove and Replace)

Removal Power the driver's seat fully rearward for access. Release the trim clips (x3) that secure the driver's footrest to the footrest dead pedal. Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
