Tesla Model X: Module - Front Door Controller - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

1. Open the front door.
2. Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
3. Remove the front door trim panel (refer to procedure).
4. Remove the screws (x4) that secure the module backing plate to the door (torque 6 Nm).

   Caution: Do not remove the fasteners that secure the module to the backing plate.

    

5. Disconnect the harnesses (x3) from the module.

    

6. Remove the module and backing plate from the vehicle as an assembly.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following: Update the vehicle firmware.

Note: The rear doors must be closed while performing the firmware update.
