Tesla Model X: Pad - Lifting - Each (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model X 2015-2024 Service Manual / Exterior Fittings / Pad - Lifting - Each (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. If the vehicle is equipped with air suspension, set the suspension to "High" or "Very High". Tip: If necessary, this procedure can be performed with the vehicle on a 4-post lift (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the lifting pad to the body (torque 10 Nm).

     Pad - Lifting - Each (Remove and Replace)

  3. Remove the lifting pad from the vehicle.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Air suspension vehicles: Set the air suspension to the "Very High" setting. Release the push clips (x7) and nut that secure the front of the front wheel arch liner

     Racetrack Trim - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace)

    Removal Remove the lower C-Pillar trim (refer to procedure). Remove the upper B-Pillar trim (refer to procedure). Release the lower clips on the front racetrack trim.   Release the lower clips on the rear racetrack trim.

     Wheel Arch Liner - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

    Warning: "Jack mode" must be activated on vehicles with air suspension before lifting the vehicle. Failure to do this might lead to suspension damage and could cause serious personal injury. Note: Vehicles with air suspension might need the suspension to be set to "High" or "Very
