Tesla Model X: Battery Coolant Pump 1 (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model X 2015-2025 Service Manual / Thermal Management / Battery Coolant Pump 1 (Remove and Replace)

Coolant pump locations:  

1 Powertrain coolant pump 1
2 Battery coolant pump 2
3 Powertrain coolant pump 2
4 Battery coolant pump 1
Removal
  1. Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
  2. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure).
  3. Disconnect the low voltage harness from the coolant pump.

     Battery Coolant Pump 1 (Remove and Replace)

  4. Slide the pump off the bracket.
  5. Clamp both coolant hoses.
Note: Place absorbent material or an appropriate receptacle underneath the pump to catch any coolant that is spilled in the next step.
  1. Release the hoses from the pump.
  2. Remove the pump from the vehicle.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Refill and bleed the cooling system (refer to procedure).
