Tesla Model X: Door Assembly - Rear Lower - LH (Remove and Install)

Remove

1. Prepare a padded surface to set the door onto after it is removed.
2. Remove the rear door upper trim panel (refer to procedure).
3. Remove the lower rear door trim panel (refer to procedure).
4. Fully open the rear door.
5. Disconnect the harnesses and release the ground strap on the lower door harness (torque 9 Nm).

   

6. Support the rear door.
7. Have one or more assistants support the entire weight of the lower rear door.

8. Release the 4 bolts that secure the lower door to the upper door (torque 24 Nm).

   

9. Set the door onto the padded surface.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Working from the front row, press and hold the B-Pillar rear door switch until the door fully cinches closed.
