Special tool(s) required for this procedure:

Removal

Remove the LH halfshaft (refer to procedure).
Use the Seal Puller to remove the oil seal from the differential casing.
Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Note: Clean the affected areas before installation.

Use the Output Seal Installation Tool to install the oil seal in the differential casing.
Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
Ensure that the seal is seated correctly in the differential casing.

Removal Use a trim tool to release the clips that secure the lower rear view mirror cover. Remove the cover. Caution: Take care not to damage component(s). Disconnect the rear view mirror electrical connector.
