Tesla Model X: Grille - Speaker - Liftgate (Remove and Replace)
Removal
Use a trim tool to release the clips (x12) that secure the
speaker grille to the top of the middle liftgate trim.
Tip: If necessary, open the liftgate and set
it to a comfortable working height. Note: Components have been removed in
this graphic to aid clarity.
Remove the liftgate speaker grille from the vehicle.
Caution: Replace any broken clips.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

Fully lower the window.
Open the front door.
Use a trim tool to remove the decorative trim from the door
panel.
Remove the rub
Removal
Remove the driver's window lift switch (refer to procedure).
Release the clips that secure the speaker cover to the door
trim.
Caution: Take care not to damage
Removal
Remove the lower rear door garnish (refer to procedure).
Set the rear door to a comfortable working height.
Move the driver's seat fully forward.

Note: The desiccant bag in the receiver dryer is a
serviceable item and must be replaced every 2 years, whenever the
system is opened to ambient air for an extended time, or when an A/C
system leak has been fixed.
Note: The dessicant is located in the LH side of the
condenser.
Removal
Remove the LH fog light (refer to procedure).
Release the fastener that secures the spear to the fascia
(torque 1 Nm).
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
