Tesla Model X: Pyrotechnic Fuse (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model X 2015-2025 Service Manual / Electrical / Pyrotechnic Fuse (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
  2. Disconnect the pyrotechnic fuse harness.

     Pyrotechnic Fuse (Remove and Replace)

  3. Remove the nuts that secure the ground wires to the 12 V fuse box (torque 15 Nm).

     Pyrotechnic Fuse (Remove and Replace)

  4. Remove the ground wires from the studs on the fuse box.

     Pyrotechnic Fuse (Remove and Replace)

  5. Remove the pyrotechnic fuse from the vehicle.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
