Tesla Model X 2015-2024 Service Manual / Brakes / Module - Electric Park Brake - EPB (Remove and Replace)

Removal

Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
Remove the upper C-Pillar trim panel (refer to procedure).
Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the bottom of the electric park brake (EPB) module.
Remove the nuts (x3) that secure the EPB module to the studs on the wheelhouse (torque 3.5 Nm). Note: Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
Remove the EPB module from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following: Use Toolbox to update or redeploy the firmware:

If the vehicle is not running the latest firmware, run the "Vehicle Firmware Update" procedure.
If the vehicle is running the latest firmware, run the "Firmware Redeploy" procedure.
